Ballast train from the CP at Kenmare, makes its way east on the Northern Plains Railroad east of Norma. This crew stopped at Trolley and dumped rock with MofW. 10 mph track made it an easy chase.
NPR 2297 returns back to Lansford on the very remote Kramer line. Kramer is now the end of track, with the section between there and Bisbee abandoned and overgrown with weeds.
The NPR's Kenmare Turn coasts down the big hill into the Souris Valley as a CP freight ascends the other side, with the tail end still visible. Also note the bright yellow rapeseed fields.
